JUNE – SEPTEMBER 2010 POSITIONS AVAILABLE
All positions at Ski Rider are 30-40 hours over a 6 day week, with 1 full day off per week.  Ski Rider is not open for lunches so on most days, there are minimal hours in the middle of the day, giving you more time to get on the hill.
All positions require a willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks and be able to work as part of a team.
Receptionists
Previous front office experience is required.  Knowledge of the ski fields is an advantage but not essential.  Along with checking guests into the hotel, front office staff are required to answer phones, take bookings and undertake general office duties.
Bar Staff
The Bar Staff position involves working in one of 2 bars, one opening at 4pm daily and the other at 6pm.  Previous bar experience and RSA are essential.  Some cocktail knowledge is an advantage.
Kitchen Hands
The Kitchenhand involves all aspects of kitchen cleanliness, storeman duties and minimal food prep.  Previous kitchenhand experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
Chefs
Ski Rider employs 4 chefs.  The evening meal is prepared with a team of 3, serving meals in either our cook your own char grill or table d’hote dining room.  One chef prepares a full cooked breakfast served in a bain mairie, this shift is rotated.  Lunches are prepared for staff only.  Chefs wage package includes accommodation and all meals.
Housekeeping Wait Staff
This is a dual position with hours in both our dining room and housekeeping department.  The wait position involves working either breakfast and or dinner shifts, serving from behind a bain mairie and clearing tables.  Housekeeping involves servicing and changing of guest rooms.  No previous wait or housekeeping experience is necessary as training will be provided.  Previous experience is an advantage.
Ski Hire Technicians/Maintenance
The Ski Hire Technician position involves fitting guests with skis, snowboards and clothing.  Previous experience an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.  Handyman skills an advantage as maintenance is run out of the Ski Hire Department.
Night Cleaners
The Night Cleaners position involves cleaning all public areas of the hotel between midnight and 8am.  This is an ideal position for maximum time on the hill.
Shuttle Bus Drivers
The Shuttle Bus Driver involves driving Ski Rider guests the 11km to Perisher and Smiggins up to 9 times a day.  Must have a HR drivers licence.  Driver Authority not required as the shuttle is provided free of charge to Ski Rider guests.  Must be capable of driving in all weather conditions.
