Job Description

High quality service staff are required for our Café and Restaurant. Previous experience with Starfleet touch POS software or similar, barista training, sommelier or wine training and Australian produce knowledge will be highly regarded. Honesty, strong work ethics and the ability to learn quickly will ensure your success with our team. We require individuals who work well both autonomously and as team, communicate well to both colleagues and guests and enjoy their work. F& B staff are also required to work housekeeping shifts and full training is provided for this. Stillwell Lodge conducts Cocktail, Barista, Sommelier, Food Safety and Operations training onsite for their staff throughout the season and encourages hospitality skills enrichment through focused continual improvement training.

This is a unique chance to actually work and live in Australia’s only ski resort that is snowed in for the entire ski season. Charlotte Pass has a village atmosphere and works as a close knit community for up to 12 weeks, with the opportunity to enjoy the mountain’s recreation activities when you are not working. Positions are salaried, contracts are based on a 38-45 hour week, over 5 days, with two days off, or 6 days with one day off.

We are looking for hard working, customer service focus individuals, with excellent references and great skills to offer our guests the very best for their 2016 ski season holiday. We need people that can really make a difference, with a happy disposition, a can do attitude, able work well as part of a team but also unsupervised at times, willing to learn and really want an experience that few get to encounter. Charlotte Pass is one of the most unique environments you will ever call home, however living in this small remote community for up to 12 weeks has its challenges and requires individuals that appreciate the isolation, are resilient, able to get along with all personalities and can commit through to the end of the season. 2016 ski season runs from June 24th to September 18th. Most staff will have a commencement date of 10-18th June to allow for pre-season training and set up.

Comfortable onsite share accommodation (with ensuites) is provided for all staff, with 3 meals per day prepared by our chefs included in your board and lodging. All you need are your personal belongings and sense of adventure.
